2026 Suzuki Swift: Features, Design, Performance, and Review
The 2026 Suzuki Dzire is one of the cheapest, most practical city car options for the Saudi Arabian market. Sharing the same light and economical Heartect platform used for the third generation Suzuki Swift, the Suzuki Dzire features a roomy interior, good fuel economy and inexpensive ownership experience. Available in two grades in the KSA market namely the GL and GLX. The Suzuki Dzire comes with an efficient and capable powertrain mated to an automatic transmission and is quite popular among individuals, families and fleets across Saudi Arabia.
Performance
At heart, a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine delivers the power and twist for the Suzuki Swift; 80 horsepower and 111Nm should give more than adequate power and this unit is connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) in order to offer great efficiency in motion. The two trims – both GL Plus and GLX – use this combination.
Speed isn’t the game here for Swift, but responsiveness certainly is, particularly around town. Its light chassis and petite dimensions provide it with nimble dynamics and a degree of ease around town where it truly feels at home. Even fuel economy: the claimed 23.2km/l isn’t bad by anyone’s standards. Daily commute or grocery trip, Swift balances things nicely.
Exterior

On the outside the Suzuki Swift carries a distinctive and energetic look which sports lean contours and narrow build on a wide platform. The GL Plus model sports a Suzuki Swift with a set of Halogen headlamps accompanied by 15-inch wheels. To match the contemporary looks you also get colour coded door handles and ORVMs.
What enhances this design to some degree is the blacked out C-Pillar which gives the roof a floating like sensation.
The GLX version takes it a notch higher by offering full LED headlamps along with LED day time running lights and front fog lamps. Chrome treatment around the front grille and the door handles complements the premium appeal further and the vehicle is still offered with 15-inch alloy wheels.
Interior

The Suzuki Swift interior has been created around simplicity and efficiency. The cabin does feel spacious given the size and manages to carry 5 people comfortable. The GL Plus comes with a cloth interior, manual AC and a 7 inch touch screen infotainment unit that comes with bluetooth and usb. This trim has manual adjustment for the driver’s seat and a multifunction steering wheel which will come in handy and is a key benefit.
There’s more luxury within the GLX trim which offers automatic climate control, leather steering wheel and a keyless entry with a start-stop push button and to compliment, there’s a bigger touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality and connectivity. Both the GL Plus and GLX offer 4-speaker stereo systems, lots of storage in the cabin and also an easy to use layout.
For storage, the Swift comes with a handy folding rear seat which means you can extend the hatch’s capacity when carrying shopping or traveling when there’s something extra and needs transporting, as well as storing your usual belongings.
Technology
When it comes to technology, the Suzuki Swift doesn’t fall short and aims to boost convenience, connectivity and safety while on the road.
For GL Plus variants, the interior benefits from a standard 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system with USB connectivity for music and for smartphone integration, a built-in Bluetooth for hands-free telephone calls with integrated steering controls. The instrument cluster features a digital trip computer display with additional trip fuel economy indicator and live driving feedback to help achieve a more fuel efficient driving.
For GLX trim level, added technologies such as mirroring the smart phone display with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control and key-less push-button engine start are standard, including reverse camera to aid the user when parking, complemented with the rear park assist as standard for GL Plus models as well.
Driving the Suzuki Swift can give a sense of relief given the many safety specifications such as Dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) system, HHC (Hill Hold Control), ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and ISOFIX Anchorage in both Suzuki Swift variants to accommodate young passengers for safe travel. These features make the Swift one reliable car especially when driving in busy city traffic.
Maintenance and Reliability
Reliable Build Quality: Suzuki Swift has a well-established reputation of having strong body structure and simplicity in mechanical components. This translates into extremely low ownership costs for drivers as maintenance procedures are simple and parts readily available. Suzuki’s cars are built to last with reliable mechanicals in any environment, even in the extreme hot weather of Saudi Arabia.
After-Sales Service: Suzuki is exclusively sold by their Saudi Arabian distributor, Najeeb Auto, which offer after-sales servicing, repair & spare parts through their service center located throughout the country in various regions like Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, etc.
The Suzuki Swift includes a three-year 100,000km warranty while having easy-to-obtain, cheaper replacement parts to further reduce total ownership costs.
Comparison
Against the Suzuki Swift in the hatchback category of KSA, there are other options like Hyundai i20, Toyota Yaris hatchback, Kia Rio Hatchback. Toyota Yaris Hatchback has got more resale value and available as a hybrid option but the Yaris comes in a higher cost for similar trims as the Swift. The Hyundai i20 features more tech in the top trims and suffers slightly on mileage.
The Kia Rio has a more aesthetically pleasing appeal but comes at a slightly greater cost.
However, Swift car KSA shines through with its amazing fuel efficiency and lightweight and agile handling and feature-rich in the GLX trim. Swift is one heck of a buy for those who want something practical to drive but with an upscale design and minimal running costs.
